Associate Professor, Neural and Behavioral Sciences

The Department of Neural and Behavioral Sciences, Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, PA invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-eligible faculty position at the Associate Professor level. Successful candidates will be expected to have, or to establish, an active research program in neuroscience and to teach graduate students and medical students.

The Department of Neural and Behavioral Sciences has developed excellence in a number of areas including the gut-brain axis, obesity, spinal cord injury, inflammatory diseases, vision science, and the neurobiology of addiction. Candidates whose expertise complements that of our existing programs, and who have experience with the study of neuronal and synaptic physiology at the molecular level are welcome to apply. All candidates using modern innovative approaches to study important aspects of neuroscience will receive full consideration. The Department of Neural and Behavioral Sciences provides a competitive start-up package, remodeled laboratory space, excellent core facilities, and extensive opportunities for collaborative research and participation in graduate training programs.
