The Department of Statistics at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for two nine-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2024. The positions target candidates who have demonstrated high-quality research in any area of Statistics and are committed to excellent teaching. Candidates with research expertise in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Data Science, especially with applications to public health, agriculture, sustainability are particularly encouraged to apply.
The Department of Statistics is home to 17 faculty members. The faculty's robust research portfolio includes funding from a broad spectrum of federal agencies (e.g., NIH and NSF) and non-profit organizations. The department has a rich tradition of collaborative environment for cross- disciplinary research and training across campus including school of business, school of medicine, school of public policy and school of engineering. The UC salary consists of a base pay of $74,600 - $97,200 for Assistant Professors and additional off-scale to be commensurate with market value, qualifications and experiences. The off-scale portion of your salary will be maintained as long as satisfactory academic progress is made. Additionally, the off-scale will be maintained subject to market adjustments to the UC salary scale.

Additional qualifications for this position that must be met by the date of hire include: A Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science or a closely related field.
