About VP Business Affairs
The Division of Business Affairs oversees many elements of doing business at UTEP, including human resources, the budget office, and accounting and financial services. In addition, the VPBA Office manages business contracts and agreements, institutional memberships, the University's risk management/insurance program, and the open records process. Our goal is to support the University's teaching, research and public service mission by providing superior services to the campus community.
Position Information
Hiring Department: Systems Integrations
Posting End Date: Open until filled.
Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary: $70,000 annually.

Purpose of Position
Summary: The System Integration Assistant Director will be responsible for guiding and monitoring large scale project deployments and will serve as a liaison with our UT System sister institutions in order to identify and deploy future system enhancements. Work includes training and monitoring personnel; project management; project coordination; systems integration; planning, scheduling and assigning projects; analyzing proposed applications; writing; and providing technical assistance to enhance business processes.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management and in a supervisory position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Degree: Master's degree or terminal degree in a related field.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Software: Proficiency in PeopleSoft or other ERP systems.
Proficiency in MS Project and/or similar project management software.
Proficiency in MS Visio.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to oversee multiple tasks.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituents.
Creative Thinking: Demonstrated competency in creative thinking and reasoning abilities.
