The position of Facilitator in the Psychology Department of Georgetown University requires an outgoing, caring professional to facilitate a new pilot program called Connect to Baby. The pilot program will be delivered remotely, via Zoom, in collaboration with Early Head Start centers throughout Washington DC.The position will work directly with other facilitators and the project manager for this project.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Administrative duties including preparation of materials for sessions with families, maintenance of records on sessions, scheduling sessions and tracking program participation.
- Manage and use of technology, including Zoom, screen sharing and texting.
- Schedule and conduct Connect to Baby Sessions (either in the home, at EHS centers or remotely via Zoom).
- Convey the importance of co-parenting and parenting to participants.
- Teach participants the critical importance of infant/toddler needs.
- Collect data on families' participation in the intervention and logging of this data.
Work Interactions
The new employee would be very closely supervised by Rachel Barr (PI) and Rebecca Ryan (PI) and the Project Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of a BA/BS degree
- Due to the DC metropolitan area's growing Spanish speaking population and the fact that the intervention requires conversing with parents, Spanish speaking skills preferred
- Experience working with families in the context of early education, parenting intervention or early intervention is preferred
- Current driver's license preferred

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$18.28 - $27.33
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
